Cookies

Clausa is software for solicitors' practices in Ireland. It sets only the cookies it needs to work: there are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to accept.
Draft for the solicitor's reading before launch. Passages marked below are not final.
Cookies Clausa sets
| Cookie | Who has it | What for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in cookies of Supabase (sb-...) | Members of a firm using the workbench | Keep you signed in, with your two-factor authentication | Until you sign out, renewed while you use Clausa |
| clausa_cp_... (one per firm) | A firm's client using that firm's client portal | Keep the client signed in to that firm's portal after the one-time code or the invitation link. It holds no content and works for that firm only | 12 hours |
On the client portal the firm is the controller and Clausa its processor: the cookie is set by Clausa's software for the firm, and the firm's own privacy notice applies to its clients.
Kept in your browser, not cookies
- Answers typed into an intake or a draft form stay in your browser until you send them, so a reload does not lose them.
- Whether you closed the prompt to install Clausa on your device.
- The offline page, the icons and the app's own files, so Clausa opens quickly and says when you are offline.
Nothing of this leaves your device.
Statistics without cookies
Product statistics (for example, that a draft was signed off) go from Clausa's servers to PostHog in the EU, with ids and counts only. No cookie or script in your browser is involved.
Payments
The firm pays for its seats on Stripe Checkout and manages its card and invoices on the Stripe Customer Portal. Those are Stripe's pages and set Stripe's own cookies there, under Stripe's notice.
Review
To be confirmed by the solicitor: The cookie list checked against the production build.
