What happens in a matter, step by step, with the screens.

  1. Open the matter

Pick one of five use cases, add the client and the parties, run the conflict check. A possible match in a closed matter shows as a warning.

  2. Upload the file

PDFs, Word files, e-mails. Clausa classifies each document and extracts the facts for the use case, with the document and the page beside each one.

  3. Confirm the facts

A field Clausa could not find becomes a task: "Confirm: {field}. Clausa didn't find this in the file."

  4. Record your instruction

"Record your instruction first: what to seek, what to admit, the points to make. Clausa drafts from your instruction and from the file."

  5. Clausa drafts

Section by section, with chips for Source, Facts and Precedent. "Needs your eyes" flags documents that disagree. Points for your decision are marked.

  6. Review version by version

Compare a version with the one before, clause by clause. Keep each change or undo it. Comments by clause, between members of your firm.

    • Every version kept, none overwritten
    • Changes shown clause by clause
    • Editing a signed version creates a new one, without the sign-off
  7. Sign off

"This exact text is what you are signing off." The version hash, the checklist, and reading to the end before the button turns on.

  8. Export, deadlines, client update

Your letterhead, nothing of Clausa in the body. Deadlines in the calendar with their rule. A client update drafted for your approval.

Clausa never decides, never signs and never sends.
